The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will begin hydrant flushing in Lansdowne from April 14 to May 2, 2025. During this period, residents may notice discolouration in their tap water. This is a normal occurrence following flushing maintenance and is not harmful to health. If you experience discolouration, simply run your tap water until it clears.
Hydrant flushing is an essential part of maintaining the town’s water distribution system, ensuring clean and efficient water flow. While the discolouration may be temporarily unsettling, it is a common and expected result of the process.
If you have concerns or need further information, the OCWA encourages residents to contact their 24-hour service line at 1-800-342-6442, where you can speak with the operator on call for OCWA-Seaway Valley.
The OCWA thanks residents for their understanding and patience during this important maintenance.
