
A Thunder Bay driver faces multiple charges following a serious three-vehicle collision on Highway 401.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, just after 7:00 a.m. near mile marker 652 in the westbound lanes. Leeds County OPP responded to reports of a head-on collision involving three vehicles. Two drivers sustained minor injuries, while a third suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a regional trauma center.
Following an investigation, OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Traffic Collision Investigators determined charges were warranted.
28 year old Jo Ellen Baxter of Thunder Bay, has been charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, driving with liquor readily available, and driving with cannabis readily available.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 30th.
