MPP Steve Clark says a Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment HUB, also known as a HART Hub is coming to Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
He says it stems from a visit by the Province’s Associate Minister of Mental Health and addiction, Michael Tibollo.
The province says the HART Hub will address significant gaps in services for individuals with complex needs by offering a centralized, coordinated approach to care.
The MPP for Leeds and Grenville, Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes says they worked hard under a tight timeline, and we’re ultimately successful in landing the hub.
The Hub will consolidate services under one roof, ensuring clients receive immediate and continuous care. Clark, says that includes temporary housing for the people it helps.
The province says the 27 HART Hubs across the province are part of the province’s plan to support safer communities while also banning drug injection sites from operating within 200 metres of schools and child care centres.
A timeline for the local hub’s opening is expected to be announced soon.
