The Town of Gananoque, in partnership with the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce, is hosting an International Women’s Day event on Friday, March 7th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Dockside Restaurant & Gift Shop. The theme for this year’s event is “Collectively, let’s #AccelerateAction for women and girls everywhere.”
The event will feature a lineup of inspiring speakers, including MC Amber Scott, Chamber President and small business owner, Tammy Watson, award-winning entrepreneur and founder of Canadian Handywoman, and Vicki Leakey, Deputy Mayor of Gananoque. Other speakers include Trish McNamara, Executive Director of the 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation, Lisa Medulun, Vice President of City Cruises Canada, McKenna Modler, Tourism & Communications Assistant for the Town of Gananoque, and Gretchen Huntley, Poet Laureate of Gananoque.
