The Town of Gananoque is mourning the passing of former Mayor Bill Code, who served from 1981 to 1985. Bill Code passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
In recognition of his contributions to the community, flags at Town Hall will be flown at half-mast from Friday, January 17, until the end of the day on Thursday, January 23.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gananoque Curling Club. Residents are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a dedicated public servant who left a lasting impact on Gananoque.
The Town extends its heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family, friends, and all those who were touched by his leadership and service. His legacy will be remembered fondly by the community he served.
