The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) has announced the retirement of its Director of Education, Laurie Corrigan, effective June 30, 2025. Corrigan, who has served for over 25 years in Catholic education, has been with CDSBEO for three and a half years. Her leadership has been marked by a strong commitment to Catholic values, student achievement, and inclusivity.
Corrigan played a key role in advancing the Board’s strategic plans, including the renewal of its 2025-2030 strategy. She also emphasized improving student performance through initiatives like the Math Action Achievement Plan and supported a healthy, inclusive workplace culture. Additionally, she led efforts to strengthen relationships with the Archdioceses of Cornwall and Kingston.
Chair of the Board, Chris Cummings, praised Corrigan for her dedication, noting her lasting impact on the community. Corrigan expressed gratitude for the support she received and is optimistic about the continued legacy of faith and innovation she leaves behind.
