Chris Cummings, Trustee for the City of Brockville, Town of Smiths Falls, and Leeds County, has been elected as the new Chair of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO). Cummings, elected to his first term as Chair, expressed his gratitude during the Board’s November 19th meeting, saying, “I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve as Board Chair. We have a remarkable team, and it is an honour to be part of such a dedicated group.”
In addition, Karen McAllister, Trustee for Dundas County and Stormont County, was acclaimed for a third term as Vice-Chair of the Board. McAllister, who has served as a CDSBEO trustee since 2006, thanked her colleagues for their continued support, stating, “This opportunity to continue serving is both an honour and a privilege.” She looks forward to further supporting students’ educational experiences alongside the Board’s exceptional team.
