Significant damage, estimated to cost several thousand dollars, occurred at the Gilmour Point beach facilities in Battersea this week.
Frontenac detachment members responded to the scene at 1763 Wellington Street around 6:30 p.m. on August 29th.
With assistance from the South Frontenac Township Fire Service, they discovered that a trash can had been set on fire, causing major damage to the washroom facilities, including smashed toilets and broken plumbing.
Fire officials reported seeing two male youths, aged 10-15, leaving the area as they arrived. Police are seeking public assistance and request any information or video footage from security or doorbell cameras that could help identify those responsible for the vandalism.
