Kingston Military Police are asking for help from the public after $50,000 worth of silver and gold coins were taken from the Canada Post Office at CFB Kingston.
At around 10am January 18th a French speaking Caucasian male, approximately 5’8″-5’9″ tall, while wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, as well as a blue medical mask, entered the office around 15 minutes after the package arrived, identified himself as the owner and provided a fake Ontario driver’s license with the true owner’s name.
On January 19th the true owner showed up to the office with several notices saying the packages had been picked up a day earlier.
The Kingston Military Police are seeking to obtain any information relating to this event be provided to the lead investigator Master Corporal Harrison Swinson at Harrison.Swinson@forces.gc.ca or at 613-541-5010 ext. 5676.
