Cataraqui Conservation has issued a Water Safety Statement due to recent weather, and are urging caution near shorelines and water bodies.
Water levels are mostly normal for this time of year but rapid rainfall may increase streamflows and inland lake levels.
They advise caution near dams, fast-flowing water, and areas with warning signs. Slippery banks and lake shores may pose risks.
While widespread flooding isn’t expected, localized flooding and ponding on roads could occur.
