An inmate at Collins Bay Institution has passed away while in custody.
Correctional Service Canada has reported that Jeremy Parsons, passed away on September 14th.
Parsons had been serving an indeterminant sentence for two years, seven months and 17 days for possession of a weapon contrary to a probation order and possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition, since January 26th of this year.
CSC, as they do in all cases has notified police and the coroner. The inmate’s next of kin have also been notified.
