A significant milestone will be celebrated by a popular local wildlife area. Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, which was originally named Buell’s Creek Conservation Area, will commemorate 25 years of service and support. Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area was renamed in honor of Mac Johnson in 1987, which recognized his tireless efforts to the property. As part of the silver anniversary, a pollinator garden will be added at the main entrance as well as a Vista View with a bench on trail 2 to enjoy the view of the Back Pond.
