Fire Service in the Town of Gananoque continues to push forward during the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrew Dickson is in charge of Fire Prevention with the Gananoque Fire Department and says that everyone has handled this pandemic very well despite all the rules that are in place are always changing. Not being able to be around the public has been one of the hardest things with all the lockdowns and stay at home orders and it has taken it’s toll on the team as far as training purposes is concerned. Dickson says once this is all behind us and the fire service can get back to normal operations, he says getting back out and being around the public is something they are all looking forward to. Dickson also is looking forward to being able to do more training and recruiting as well.
