Darren Toweriess has been a business owner in Gananoque for several years and one of his main focuses has been keeping others in the community happy. The owner of the Old English Pub started a group called Gananoque Strong which shared messages during the pandemic on social media to try and keep the spirits of people upbeat during tough times. Business wise Toweriess says no doubt this has been a struggle with being open with restrictions and then closed again with even more restrictions. He says Gananoque has been a great place to live and cares a lot about the community. He’s been involved with many community events and fundraisers which have greatly benefitted several community organizations. Toweriess also says that things are bound to get better, we all just have to stay strong.
