Property owners on private roads and lanes in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands (TLTI) now have the chance to apply for the Private Road Grant for Capital Improvements. This grant helps eligible road associations make improvements that increase access for emergency vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances.
Since many roads in TLTI are not municipally owned or maintained, this grant program aims to provide support by covering 50% of capital project costs, up to a maximum of $5,000 per approved application.
The application period is now open, and the deadline to submit is June 6, 2025. Property owners who are unsure about their eligibility or would like more information can contact the Township to schedule a site meeting.
