The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is gearing up for Pitch-In Week this April, encouraging residents to help clean up their communities. From April 22 to May 3, TLTI waste sites will accept Pitch-In bags, with designated collection trailers available from April 26 to 28 in Lansdowne, Seeley’s Bay, and Lyndhurst.
Residents can participate solo by picking up free gloves and bags at local businesses including Hilltop Coffee Stop, Wing’s Live Bait & Tackle, the Township Office, and TLTI libraries.
Several community group clean-up events are also scheduled. SBARA will host a Seeley’s Bay event on April 26 from 8 a.m. to noon. Lyndhurst and Rockport will hold events the same weekend—details will be shared on social media.
It’s a great chance for individuals and families to roll up their sleeves and help beautify the township ahead of the busy summer season.
