Eastern Ontario’s Sam Bat flooded with orders as “torpedo bats” reach Major League Baseball

Torpedo baseball bats are the latest fad across professional baseball and Carleton Place’s Sam Bat says they’ve been flooded with requests.

The company is known across the world for their hand crafted bats sported by countless MLB players and pros overseas.

President and Co-Owner Arlene Anderson says the interest has only intensified what’s already busy stretch of the calendar.

Sales Director Kevin Rathwell explains the difference between a regular bat, and how customizable they can make it.

Anderson says there has been requests spanning all ages and skills.

The baseball world began taking notice of the bat design when a handful of players on the New York Yankees made the switch and found quick success in their home run totals.
