At the recent Trees & Trails Advisory Panel meeting, concerns were raised about the need for bag tags for curbside pickup of branches and twigs. Town staff clarified at the subsequent council meeting that there is no fee for the pickup of branches and twigs left at the curb. However, bag tags are required for curbside collection of leaf and yard waste placed in paper bags.
The clarification comes ahead of the scheduled spring brush and yard waste pickup, which will run from April 14 to April 25, 2025. Residents should remember that only leaf and yard waste in paper bags requires bag tags, not branches or twigs.
Fall pickup dates are yet to be determined, and further updates will be provided closer to the season.
