
Dr. Harvinder Chawla has been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for over 50 years of dedicated pediatric care in Brockville. MPP Steve Clark presented the honor on March 26 during a ceremony attended by family, friends, and colleagues.
“Dr. Chawla has been a pillar of our medical community since 1975,” said Brockville General Hospital CEO Julie Caffin, noting her lasting impact on generations of families.
Clark praised Dr. Chawla’s lifelong commitment, recognizing her care for multiple generations of patients. “She has literally cared for the grandchildren of the children she once helped deliver,” he said.
The King Charles III Coronation Medal commemorates the King’s May 6, 2023, coronation, with recipients chosen for significant contributions to Canada. Dr. Chawla’s recognition reflects her invaluable service to Brockville’s healthcare community.
