A stolen motorcycle from Leeds County was recovered following a traffic stop on March 25, 2025, leading to multiple charges against a Yarker man.
A Frontenac OPP officer on patrol spotted two motorcycles traveling on Yarker Road near Harrowsmith around 11:20 a.m. When the officer turned toward them, one rider fled, while the other stalled their motorcycle. An investigation confirmed that the motorcycle had been stolen in November 2024 from a residence in Leeds County.
The rider, identified as 39-year-old Vincent Kellar of Yarker, was found to be prohibited from driving Canada-wide and on probation. He was charged with:
Operation while prohibited (two counts)
Possession of stolen property under $5,000
Failure to comply with a probation order
Kellar was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on March 26, 2025.
