
Canada’s 45th federal election is fast approaching and Elections Canada and 99.9 myFM wants to make sure you have all you need to make an informed decision. That includes key dates to remember for electors.
April 7, 2:00 p.m. (local time): Candidate nominations close.
April 9: Full list of candidates available at elections.ca.
April 14: Guide to the election and voter information cards will be sent to households.
April 18-21: Advance polling days (9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.).
April 22, 6:00 p.m.: Deadline to apply for special ballots or vote at Elections Canada offices.
April 22: Deadline for voter registration in advance of election day.
April 28: Election day! Polls will be open for 12 hours.
Electors can vote by special ballot until April 22, either online, at local offices, or by mail.
