Kingston Police are thanking partner agencies for their support during the 2025 St. Patrick’s Day weekend festivities. The City of Kingston, Kingston Fire and Rescue, Frontenac Paramedics, and several regional police services, including Smiths Falls, Brockville, and Belleville, contributed to the smooth operation of the event. Despite large crowds, there were no major issues, thanks to cooperative behavior from students and the success of the Police Liaison Teams, which allowed officers to ensure safety while minimizing their presence at events.
Kingston Police Chief Scott Fraser expressed appreciation for the teamwork with fellow law enforcement agencies, the City of Kingston, and Queen’s University. Fines issued during the weekend totaled $34,130, including charges for public intoxication, liquor-related offenses, and traffic violations. The fines were a part of ongoing efforts to maintain order and safety during the festivities.
