The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) has introduced its Student Achievement Plan (SAP) and Math Achievement Action Plan (MAAP) to enhance student learning and success. Presented to the Board of Trustees by Brenda Reil, Principal of Curriculum and Student Success, and Anne Leach, Principal of Math Learning in Schools, the SAP focuses on literacy, engagement, and student well-being. Key initiatives include early literacy screening, professional learning, Indigenous student support, and strengthened community partnerships.
The MAAP aims to improve math outcomes by ensuring curriculum fidelity, deepening educators’ math knowledge, and using a tiered instructional approach. Teachers will receive targeted professional development and implement high-impact teaching strategies.
The board’s comprehensive approach integrates stakeholder feedback and data-driven decision-making to provide equitable support for all students. These initiatives reinforce CDSBEO’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for future success.
