A 51-year-old man is facing multiple charges after Brockville police found his vehicle stuck in the snow on a residential lawn near Reynolds Drive and Bartholomew Street on February 14.
Around 3:45 p.m., an officer on patrol noticed the vehicle off the road. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected alcohol consumption. Further investigation determined the vehicle had been operated in a dangerous manner before becoming stuck.
A roadside breath test registered a fail, leading to the driver’s arrest and transport to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. It was confirmed that he was impaired. His vehicle was impounded, and his driver’s licence was seized.
The man has been charged with dangerous driving, operation while impaired, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released with a future court date.
Police continue to remind motorists of the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.
