To mark Heritage Week 2025, the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is celebrating the cultural heritage of the community with a special social media campaign. From February 17 to 23, the Township will share a daily postcard on its Facebook and social media channels, featuring highlights from the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Archives.
Heritage Week, a nationwide event observed annually during the third week of February, encourages Ontarians to celebrate all aspects of heritage—cultural, natural, architectural, archaeological, and collections.
This year’s initiative provides a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the rich history of the township through historical photos and artifacts. The Ontario Heritage Trust encourages everyone to participate and appreciate the diverse heritage that shapes our communities.
