Gananoque is hosting a variety of exciting activities for the whole family this Family Day, February 17th, 2025. The GBM Canada 150 Outdoor Rink will be open for public skating from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., providing a great way for families to get active outdoors. Please note, the Lou Jeffries Arena will be closed, so all indoor skating is canceled.
For a fun-filled day, head to the Thousand Islands Boat Museum from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for their annual Family Day celebration. This free event will feature hot dogs, hot chocolate, a fire pit, and a take-home craft contest for kids. Wagon rides and a visit from River Mermaid Brie are also highlights. Donations and memberships are appreciated to support the museum.
For the adventurous, the 2025 Polar Plunge will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River, raising funds for Special Olympics Ontario.
Finally, the 1000 Islands History Museum offers a day of free family fun from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., featuring face painting, music by Sam and Keiren, and winter-themed crafts from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
