The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) has approved the 2025-2026 school year calendar for submission to the Ministry of Education by March 1, 2025. The decision was made during the board meeting on February 12, following a thorough consultation process led by Superintendent of Schools Marsha McNair.
The consultation included input from the UCDSB Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), the Parent Involvement Committee (PIC), the Indigenous Advisory Circle, and union partners to ensure a well-balanced academic year.
Key dates in the 2025-2026 school year calendar include:
First Day of School: September 2, 2025 (students start September 3)
Last Day of School: June 25, 2026
Winter Break: December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026
March Break: March 16–20, 2026
Pending Ministry approval, the finalized calendar will be shared with students, parents, and staff to assist with planning for the upcoming school year
