Gananoque musician, singer, and songwriter Cliff Edwards is making a difference beyond the stage as the new Chair of the Gananoque Seniors Association. Passionate about supporting local seniors, Edwards is helping the organization grow, offering programs that teach new skills and bring the community together.
Although still in its early stages, the association has quickly gained momentum. Edwards finds the most rewarding part to be watching participation levels rise and seeing seniors engage with the programs. “Reward isn’t about money,” he said. “It’s about seeing the organization grow and people coming together.”
The association currently operates out of a space provided by Community Living, for which Edwards and his team are grateful. However, he hopes that one day, the group will have a place of its own.
