On February 17th at 11:30 a.m., the Gananoque Police Service will join local emergency service partners for the annual #FreezinForAReason event, plunging into the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River to raise money for Special Olympics Ontario.
This exciting fundraiser supports local athletes with intellectual disabilities, providing them with the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities.
The event is not only about fundraising but also about showing support for the athletes who benefit from these programs.
Gananoque police and emergency service personnel are inviting the public to come out, cheer them on, and contribute donations to the cause.
