The decision was unanimous for the approval of the 2025 Operating and Capital budget during Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Council Monday night.
A total of $18.75 million dollars was approved, an increase of 7.5 percent, which results in a rise in residential tax rates at 6.8 percent.
The Water Waste Water budget was approved at $730,500, which is an increase of $42,400, or 6 percent over 2024.
The Township water budget was approved at $376,100 while the wastewater budget was approved at $354,400.
