The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Council will meet on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Lansdowne Council Chambers. The meeting will include key agenda items such as the adoption of the 2025 municipal operating and capital budgets, which propose a net levy of $12.87 million and a residential tax rate of 0.00539115.
Daniel Segal of Segal Construction will present an innovative proposal to address Ontario’s housing crisis through public-private partnerships. Council will also discuss plans for the $14.9 million Lansdowne Urbanization Project and $4.5 million upgrades to the municipal water system, contingent on securing grants.
Other topics include filling a Ward 2 Council vacancy, approving the Seeley’s Bay Lions Frost Fest as a municipally significant event, and appointing a member to the Cataraqui Conservation Board.
