Kingston Police Deputy Chief Scott Gee was officially sworn in by The Honourable Gary W. Tranmer in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and colleagues on Thursday.
With over 20 years of service in law enforcement, Gee began his career with the Gananoque Police Service in 2003.
Throughout his tenure, he has held various important roles, including Sexual Assault Investigator and Major Case Manager. His expertise extends to policy development, where he contributed to changes in Use of Force reporting and the Taser program.
Gee has also been a training officer for 12 years, shaping in-house training across three police services.
A strong advocate for community engagement, he has held leadership positions, including most recently as Chief of Police in Gananoque.
Gee has also supported the Kingston Special Olympics for 30 years and actively contributes to several boards.
He lives in Kingston with his wife Megan and their two children, and is settling into his new role.
