At their December 17th meeting, Gananoque Town Council amended the By-law regarding Council Member appointments to various committees and boards. The revision involved removing Section 1.1.6, which designated the “Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit,” and replacing it with the “South East Health Unit Board of Health.”
As part of this update, Councillor Anne-Marie Koiner was appointed to represent Gananoque on the South East Health Unit Board of Health for a two-year term. This change reflects the Council’s efforts to align representation with regional health initiatives and partnerships.
The amendment highlights Gananoque’s commitment to maintaining active involvement in health governance and ensuring the community’s interests are well-represented on key health-related boards.
