A 30-year-old man, has been charged with numerous offences after investigations by the Leeds and Frontenac Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On December 18, 2024, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a Main Street address in Seeley’s Bay. The suspect was not initially located. Officers returned with the OPP Emergency Response Team on December 19 and safely arrested Tye.
Hunter Tye, faces a lengthy list of charges, including alleged assault, assault with a weapon, break-and-enter, two counts of criminal harassment, dangerous operation of a vehicle, mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, unlawfully being in a dwelling, and multiple probation and release order violations.
The accused appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 23, 2024.
The OPP continues to emphasize public safety and the importance of reporting criminal activity.
