Thousand Islands Boat Museum in Gananoque is getting close to opening it’s season.
May 17th the season will begin and visitors are encouraged to take a walk and explore the Boathouse Gallery and kids are welcome to try building a boat.
One of the historical attractions is the launch of the Canadian Empress, which was launched in Gananoque on September3rd of 1981.
The vessel is a replica of a 19th Century boat that would have toured the region.
