It was impressive to say the least.
At about 3:24 PM Monday afternoon we got to witness totality as the moon covered the entire sun for a few brief moments during the solar eclipse. It was quite the sight to see.
Gananoque saw residents and visitors alike flock to Joel Stone Park to take in the once in a lifetime experience.
And that visitor wasn’t alone in being surprised by the celestial event, and what was happening around them.
Others realized that sometimes we take things for granted, but will hang on to those eclipse glasses as a memento.
And all walks of life turned out to check it out. This man told myFM it was incredible to share it with others.
Those reactions were pretty common among those who got to experience totality, and even those who only got the partial effect north of our region.
All in all, the 2024 total solar eclipse created memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
