A career at local schools has finally come to an end for a long time office administrator in Gananoque.
Sylvia McAllister, the current financial assistant at Linklater Public School, graduated from Gananoque Secondary School and landed her first office job there, 60 years ago.
It was announced recently that McAllister would be calling it a career. A special retirement party took place yesterday at The Riva Restaurant in Gananoque.
MPP Steve Clark and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau both sent scrolls showing their appreciation to McAllister.
