Council in the Town of Gananoque discussed a feasible study for a Rural Transit System.
The Town of Gananoque has partnered with the City of Kingston and South Frontenac Township, to apply to the Federal Rural Transit Solutions Fund for funding for the study.
Town staff are referring an amount of $293,000 for the 2024 Budget, to allow the Town to move forward with some form of transit solution.
If approved Council will then appoint three members to form a sub-committee, to review the study and see what the next step will be.
