Gananoque Fire Service has provided an update regarding a pair of weekend fires in the Town.
They report that just after 8:30am on Saturday, crews were called to a structure fire on Main Street. They were able to quickly contain the blaze. A female occupant of the home (no age given) was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Then on Sunday, they responded to another house fire on Sydenham Street. Damage to the structure was limited to a single room and its contents. No other injuries were reported.
Firefighters were not hurt in either fire.
The Gananoque Fire Department would like to extend our gratitude to Leeds and Grenville EMS, Gananoque Police, Gananoque Public Works and TLTI Fire who provided assistance during both incidents.
