It looks like a new tenant will occupy a manufacturing plant at 670 Charles St. North in Gananoque.
A recent proposal from VX Resources Canada Inc. was brought to Gananoque council, asking to operate a manufacturing plant at the site.
They hope to produce raw vermiculite for horticulture purposes.
Gananoque Mayor John Beddows is pleased that not only business can grow in Gan, but this will also provide more jobs.
The operation will take place in the existing main building, depending on conditions.
The raw materials for this operation are sourced from asbestos-free mines and are certified asbestos-free.
