Becoming a father is what push Gananoque Ontario’s Ryan Easton into becoming a Gananoque Minor Hockey coach.
He says the biggest reward he has gotten out of this whole experience is seeing the kids grow from learning how to skate, to being able to make plays, score goals and have fun in the process.
Toughest part of being a coach is continuing to develop new skills and improve the players as their careers progress.
He says as the kids get older he is always searching for way to learn new skills and come up with new drills to keep the athlete’s sharp.
The auto salesman reflected on his recent hockey season, as one of the best in his career and the best for his team overall, making the Ontario Championships was one of the major highlights of the season and making the finals in nearly ever major tournament they entered was a huge accomplishment also.
