Frontenac OPP are taking the time to encourage everyone to wear a Canadian approved lifejacket while on the water, as they continue to investigate two fatal marine incidents.
One incident occurred on Brule Lake in North Frontenac Township, where a fishing vessel with 4 individuals capsized, and one person went missing. Despite an exhaustive search, the missing individual was found deceased the next day.
The second incident was a collision between a vessel and a kayak on Little Cranberry Lake, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old individual from Kawartha Lakes. Investigations are ongoing, and no foul play is suspected.
