After 45 years in political office, a former Senator and longtime MPP is launching a memoir.
Bob Runciman began his career as a councilor in the City of Brockville in 1972 and has documented his time at all three levels of government and this memoir titled, Mad Dog to Senator, which gives a behind the scenes look at government and political process that Runcimann has seen in his many years in politics.
The launch will take place on June 30th at the Royal Brock Grand Hallway from 3 until 5pm followed by a book signing.
Some of the issues and personalities:
• Stephen Harper and Pierre Poilievre
• The Mike Duffy downfall
• The other side of Ontario Premier Bill Davis
• The inmate breakout from Canada’s first “boot camp” for young offenders
• Movie star Michael Douglas’s evening with Jeannette Runciman
• The Belinda Stronach “attractive dipstick” controversy
• His resignation as Solicitor General over alleged breach of the Young Offenders Act
• His groundbreaking initiative to effectively deal with criminal offenders suffering mental illness and the federal refusal to follow Ontario’s lead.
