High schools in the region will receive
almost $77 thousand dollars from the province to purchase high-tech trades machines.
Local MPP Steve Clark says the Ford government
wants to provide resources for students at schools like Athens District High with equipment including desktop milling machines, lathes and plasma cutters.
Each school involved will receive tool kits and cutting tools.
The project is funded through the ministry of labour’s Skills Development Fund which allows organizations to apply for funding to deliver in-demand training programs.
