A former native of Osgoode Ontario, Cliff Burns spent most of his time volunteering and running his own flower shop. Now living in Gananoque, Burns has been a volunteer for several years at Carveth Care Center and has enjoyed his time there. He says one of the biggest accomplishments he has had over the years, is when he is able to not just put smiles on faces, but also when he is able to talk to another person and get them interested in volunteering. Burns says its the compliments from the family members of the residents, who have praised him for spending that one hour of his day with them and helping make their day better.
