Hard work and dedication is something that Prescott’s Johnathon Ferguson believes is the key to success and also what will benefit young people in the future. Splitting his time between working for the family owned business, Splash Well Drilling, with his father Todd and mother Elizabeth, Johnathon says he has learned a lot from his parents and says working hard is part of being successful. The Ferguson’s also have another passion and that is auto racing. Saturday nights you can find the family owned team at the Brockville Speedway and Sunday nights at the Cornwall Speedway. Johnathon recently moved into the DIRTcar 358 Modified ranks after nearly 30 wins and several championships in the DIRTcar Sportsman class. His father and grandfather are his biggest inspirations in business and in racing. His biggest piece of advice to today’s youth is to just keep working hard and try to find something you enjoy doing. Johnathon hopes to one day take over the family business as well as stay behind the wheel of his race cars for many years to come.
