The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board is welcoming a new Elementary School to the City of Kingston. It was announced this week that ground will be broken for the new Kingston West Catholic Elementary School, which will be located in the Woodhaven subdivision on Holden Street. The school will feature 481 student spaces, 4 new child care rooms, providing 73 licensed child care spaces and 3 new EarlyON Child and Family Center rooms. Ground breaking on the $20.9 million dollar project will begin in the spring with a date to be determined. Target date of completion is scheduled for September 2023
