After a career in radio John Suart, the Board President for Community Living in the Kingston Area, says he has been involved since his son was receiving services back in elementary school. Suart says he realized how important this service was to not just his son but everyone including the school and his teachers. Since then he has been a board member and has enjoyed his time with the organization. He says this group makes a difference each and everyday and he feels as a board member, he helps in making differences each day. He says some of the biggest challenges is being able to get more funding and also making people more aware of what it is the organization does for the community. Suart says getting involved with Community living is as easy as making a donation, getting involved with the board or even start working for the organization and being aware of what they do is the most important part. When asked about an accomplishment he is most proud of, Suart is quick to credit not himself, but the people around him and those who are out there doing the work each day. He says the staff have given so much to not only the clients they serve, but also to the community and he says this has also made Community Living better as well.
