Visitors to the Town of Gananoque have been steadily increasing since the pandemic. At a recent Gananoque Town Council meeting Tourism Coordinator Jennifer Baril brought a year end presentation to council. She said the amount of tourists who came through the visitors center, doubled this past season.
Baril says they are looking to increase numbers next season with the help of social media and their student employees
Plans are to increase visitor services in 2022.
Baril adds that normal visitor center numbers are around 35,000 annually.
