The Brockville Police Services Board has announced a new Deputy Chief of Police. It was announced that Andrew Harvie has been appointed to the role. Harvie began his career in 1998 with Toronto Police Service before coming to Brockville in 2001 as a Constable, where he worked in Criminal Investigations, Emergency Response Team and as a police instructor. Harvie was promoted to Sergeant in 2009 then promoted to Staff Sergeant in 2018. Harvie is also a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Chiefs of Police.
